C++ Programmer

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, talented C++ Programmer to join a growing, independent game developer, founded by industry veterans with backgrounds working for some of gaming’s biggest developers, including Activision, Sony, Codemasters, Crytek, and many more.

About the role

With a focus on emerging technologies and greenfield projects, you will be supported by a dynamic and creative team who will aid you in exploring new ground and devising new, creative concepts. You will work across a number of fun & diverse projects, including a new game that will allow players to create and build their own worlds with MMO gameplay, and design & vary their own unique characters.

This is a great opportunity for a driven, creative-thinking individual to work with a group of collaborative, high performers who embrace ideas and knowledge from all areas, with the aim of inspiring and developing the team and their games. Your duties will include

• Working with a highly experienced team on all areas of game development.
• Using your passion for gaming to design, plan and develop high-quality code systems.
• Working closely with the game designers and other disciplines to realise their visions.
• Using your communication skills to contribute to Scrum meetings and create innovative solutions for the team’s games

Essential Skills

• 5+ years’ gaming industry experience in C++.
• Proven debugging and critical thinking skills.
• Have a passion for good coding standards.
• Enjoy working with different technologies, with a desire to learn new ones.
• Comfortable working in a creative, open-thinking environment.
• Experienced and passionate about working on a wide variety of tasks.
• Comfortable working both alone and within a team.
